Ten years ago, In The Pocket saw the light of day. It’s time to celebrate a decade of building digital products with lots of learnings and even more fun along the road! We interviewed 10 colleagues who joined our company in different years to ask how they experienced their time at In The Pocket. Here are their stories!
Once upon a time, a bunch of guys with laptops joined forces to create In The Pocket. In 2010, our company saw the light of day.
What started as a small project grew into one of Belgium's biggest scale-ups: in 2011 Showpad became an independent company. In The Pockets co-founders Louis Jonckheere and Pieterjan Bouten left the company to lead Showpad.
Our first big project, such as the mobile app for Dagelijkse Kost, a famous Belgian cooking show, won several awards.
When we moved to DOK Noord, we created the Arena as a place for knowledge sharing.
Every Summer, we rent a boat to attend one of Europe's biggest festivals: De Gentse Feesten.
In 2017 we started our annual Summer Academy to give young graduates a chance to experience their first Design Sprint.
Nick Bostrom (Oxford Future of Humanity Institute) gave the closing keynote of Shift 17, our annual boutique conference for digital decision makers.
In September 2018 we opened our second office, in Leuven.
