Dinner: making AI costs pay off (Amsterdam)
Every executive eventually asks it: “What are we actually getting out of AI?” Most organisations can’t answer it with confidence.
Licenses pile up. Every team picks its own tools. Costs are easy to see, but gains are hard to prove. So every budget conversation reopens the same debate about AI investments, when the real question is how to make them pay off.
Which brings two questions to the table:
How do you make the gains visible? Value only counts when you can show it. The organisations pulling ahead agree on what success looks like before they invest.
How do you invest without overspending? Which tools do you standardise, and where do you leave room to experiment? How do you keep licence costs, vendor lock-in and governance under control without slowing everyone down? A clear framework turns a hundred separate decisions into a few deliberate ones.
Around one table, a small group of peers compares how they’re tackling this: what they’re spending, what it’s returning, and which choices they’d make again.
Who should attend
Who should be around the table
CEOs, COOs, CDOs and transformation leaders who own the AI agenda and answer for its results. The people who decide where the next euro and the next team go. We keep it deliberately small so the conversation stays candid and useful.
How do these roundtables work?
- These events are about creating a space for discussions among peers. They are invite-only. You can apply to join, and we will get back to you.
- We get in touch as the dinner draws near, to understand which discussions hold the most value for you and what’s highest on your agenda. Likewise, we love to hear where you might inspire other guests.
- We match you to the right people around the table.
- Optional: take the AI Maturity Scan (15 minutes) beforehand, and bring your results to the table.

Location
REM was built in 1964 as an offshore platform for pirate broadcaster TV Noordzee. After decades at sea, it moved to Amsterdam's Houthavens in 2011 and became a restaurant and event venue. Today the red-and-white tower stands right on the IJ, with sweeping views over the water and the city skyline. It's an unexpected setting that gets people talking the moment they arrive.
